Black and Blue

Black and Blue

hands grasp air
reaching for sky
bullets fly

nose void of wind
pipe restricted by armed
police don’t protect
they harm

forgotten crop receives boon
strange fruit
but #BlackLivesMatter
screaming “it’s a toy,” don’t shoot

grandmothers beaten senseless
young people get maced
Slave patrols in #TheInjusticeDepartment
We livin in a police state.
